Our six casitas offer 42 private bedrooms equipped with two queen beds which accommodate one patient and one caregiver. Each casita, nearly 5,000 sq. ft., offers plenty of open space, a full kitchen, dining room, great room with large-screen TV and relaxing conversation area, library, laundry, and a spacious veranda opening to scenic mountains and desert vistas.
Patients and/or caregivers can call us directly for accommodation details or may be referred by their medical team, typically a social worker or patient navigator. A direct call or referral does not guarantee a room but does allow staff to place you on our first-come-first-served waitlist. Confirmed reservations are based on room availability.
what you can expect
We are a healthcare hospitality facility. To protect our patient’s safety and healing, we have policies that set us apart from a regular hotel environment. These policies were established in consultation with medical professionals and as recommended by the Healthcare Hospitality Network. HHN is a group of over 150 similar housing facilities around the country who share their professional expertise and experience in setting these standards.
- Fresh Air: There are wonderful patios throughout the Village as well as a nearby park where you will be able to enjoy the fresh breezes of the Valley. Since we adhere to Mayo Clinic’s smokeless policy (including no vaping) you will not have to endure any second-hand smoke.
- Safety: The Village is monitored by security cameras and Mayo Clinic provides roving security throughout the area. Help In Healing Home Foundation has a manager on duty during the nighttime hours. The Village guests are all over the age of 18 with a valid, government-issued photo ID and have permanent physical residential addresses to which they hope to return following treatment. Our guests must be free of communicable disease, and we do not allow firearms, alcohol, or illegal drugs on the property. Each room is equipped with a private locked safe and patients and caregivers have the security of knowing that they are only five minutes away from the Mayo Clinic Emergency Department should it be needed.
- Cleanliness: Our trained housekeeping staff utilizes advanced equipment and hospital grade cleaning supplies.
- Independence: While taking in the beautiful environment of the Village at Help In Healing Home, guests enjoy independence by providing and preparing their own meals while having the convenience of keeping their vehicle onsite for the entirety of their stay.
- Support: You will experience a caring and compassionate staff who will do what they can to facilitate an enjoyable stay. In addition to the support of your own caregiver who is with you for the duration of your stay, the experience of being with others who are going through similar medical challenges is the key to why patients do better in a housing facility such as Help in Healing Home as opposed to a hotel.
- Convenience: Help In Healing Home is located on the property of the Mayo Clinic Hospital and is close to major shopping centers.

INQUIRY PROCESS
Our goal is to make the reservation and check-in process as smooth as possible for guests and staff. Any questions during the process may be answered by our Guest Relations Coordinators at 480-609-1324.
- A patient and/or their caregiver may be referred by their medical team or may contact us directly to be placed on our waiting list. Referrals and placement on the waitlist do not guarantee a reservation.
- Guests placed on the waitlist are contacted as early as room availability will allow. We do not require an existing guest to check out before their treatment is completed. Therefore, check-out dates are often fluid. This may result in a delayed reservation confirmation call to guarantee a room for the incoming guest.
- In addition to staying here after surgery or during cancer treatments, a patient and their caregiver are welcome to stay at Help In Healing Home during an initial evaluation, or during post-treatment/surgery appointments. The same process stated above is followed. There is a minimum 3-day charge.
affordable
Our nightly rate accommodating both the patient and caregiver is $51.00 and includes free Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and on-site parking. A one-time sanitization fee of $50.00 is also charged to each guest room.
